Culture
Meaning of the Logo

Logo Description:

The most important component of a municipality is its people.

The Shamrock represents our Irish heritage while the fleur-de-lis represents our French heritage.

The intertwined stems represent friends and neighbours of both cultures growing together, living and working in harmony.

The concept for this logo was suggested by Lorraine McLean in May 1987 and made graphically possible by Gabrielle Fitzgerald. It was first used in January 1988.
